From 19 to 25 June 2007 the Ministry for Information Technologies and Communications of the Russian Federation and Union of Philatelists of Russia under the patronage of the International Federation of Philately hold the World Philatelic Exhibition “St. Petersburg- 2007”.The World Philatelic Exhibition «St. Petersburg- 2007» will be held within the framework of the actions dedicated to the celebrated in 2007 150th anniversary of issue of the first Russian State postage stamp.We invite you to participate in the World Philatelic Exhibition «St. Petersburg-2007».

The international community of postal stamp collectors widens year by year. I am sincerely glad to host such a representative forum here in Russia, in St. Petersburg timed to the 150th anniversary of the first Russian State postage stamp issue.

In January, 2008 it will be 150 years since the first Russian stamp was issued. Our Ministry in association with the Union of Philatelists of Russia decided to hold the World Philatelic Exhibition «St. Petersburg-2007» within the framework of this significant anniversary in the history of the Russian philately and postal communication.
