Russian collector Igor Gorskiy got National Grand-Prix at the World Stamp Exhibition
The participants of the World Stamp Exhibition were awarded at the closing ceremony held 25th June 2007. The jury gave the main prizes Honorary, National and International Gran-Prix to the collections of Taiwan, Russian and Thai philatelists respectively.

The Session of General Assembly of the World Association for the Development of Philately is held today in Saint-Petersburg within the framework of the World Stamp Exhibition. Such annual sessions are held jointly with large international philately exhibitions. They aims at developing of philately market, arranging of trainings for postal authorities, studying of postal market and issuing of stamps. As to director Edouard Dayan, Director General of Universal Postal Union the Assembly Session in Saint Petersburg is the first meeting that publishes the results of analysis of professional work of philately companies in several languages.
Philatelists saw the first Russian postage stamp
The official opening ceremony of the postage stamps exhibition of special fund FSUE «Goznak» was held today in the Saint Petersburg Mint (Monetny Dvor). It is the first full-fledged exhibition devoted to the history of Russian stamps and the enterprise «Goznak» exhibits the unique original of the first Russian postage stamp been issued in 1857.
